Being a car enthusiast, this is probably the first thing I should have done by now, but I haven't, and it brings me many sads...
!!! UNKNOWN HEADER TYPE (MULTI-LINE BREAK?) !!!
I've always wanted to go but could never, and still cannot find the time to go. Because it's Saturday mornings and I work at the same time it runs, I've never been able to make it to ONE! hopefully I'll find some time to go to one before the summer's up!
Have some of this for whatever reason:

even my girlfriend "who doesnt like cars" attended one two states away.
come with us next time in PA, NJ or CT, and ill go halfway with you on gas.

WI doesn't have any. We have regular car shows every other week.

I only went to one. There were about 1300 cars present and I had the only Cutlass (aside from my sister). I don't know if I will go back to one or not.
You start to glance over the hundreds of Porsches and Corvettes because they inevitably get boring. You can only talk about someone else's rhd Nissan for so long before you want to go home.
Personally, exotics don't excite me and the classic car turnout is what you would expect. Unfortunately, you see one and you see them all.
The most interesting thing at mine was a Reliant Scimitar.

Don't worry that doesn't make you a bad person. I hadn't been to one until last weekend. I don't normally work on Saturday mornings but I am always tired from working all week and hate getting up early on Saturdays...
When I went I met a guy in his 20s who has a Ferrari 458. He admitted that he's never driven stick. Now that's a big confession!

Me either :(

jedidiah is right. They are such massive turn outs the you start going into an odd mode where "hey a gallardo.....ok what else is here" All of a sudden, "whoooa! it's a (rare but not exotic) neatooo!"

i've never been to one either
the closest one is about 2 hours away and i normally wake up at 11AM so yeah
although once i get my alfa legal i really want to go to one
and then maybe go on hot rod power tour

But it's sooo far from MI. :(
But if you go halfway on ze gas I might consider a road trip. :)

That should be against state law. Not even in Green Bay?

Scimitar? From Star Trek??

Hey I'd never driven stick until this March. :P

We can suffer together. :P

I see, well, we'll just have to see how long it takes for me to get bored!
![]() 07/06/2014 at 19:54 |

Eh, I haven't either. They're kinda boring for me. I prefer to just find a local autoX and just go to watch even if I can't race. You get to see the cars in motion and see a wider variety of cars. Typically the smaller shows/gatherings attract the local flavor. So in SE michigan you're going to get the odd and rare and classic detroit iron. Not that that's a bad thing, it just gets old when you do woodward every year. Autocrosses and track days seem to have so much variety no matter where or when you go.
On the other hand, if you're a morning person it's probably a ton of fun but I'm not a morning person at all. I need to smell burnt rubber to wake me up instead of caffeine

Well, I haven't either, mostly because the closest one to me is two Americas away. And I mean Americas as the continents, not the country.
So, yeah...

well, PA is an 8 hour drive end to end, roughly.
i expect economy driving, none of that 14mpg crap.

you'll n3ver get bored. Ive been going to the one here for almost 3 years and not missing one. Never bored

More like this.

I still need to go to an AutoX!! Are there any in August??
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:01 |

But you're way younger than he is. And you didn't skip straight to a DCT without bothering to learn stick first!
Oh I forgot to tell you - a girl in an automatic 335i beat me in ze 911. We were at a red light and she wanted to race me. But I couldn't get my car into first cleanly (it was giving me that issue where it is being a bitch and doesn't want to let me get into first). and I really didn't want to race anyways because tickets and danger and condemnation from others so I didn't step on it once I got off the line. I figured I'd let her have her fun. She can tell people she beat ze Porsche :)

dozens. Check out michigan SCCA pages. I'm going to one at Grattan in september and I think there's a belle isle one in August too. Lots of smaller ones. Google is your friend.

Princess Anne had one of those, you know.

YOU DID WHAT??? (O_0)
You at least could have said "If you beat me, you give me your number"?!?
Many sads....

How far into PA would I need to go?
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:13 |

Yeah....You've got it worse.... :(

Haha that would be smooth! But I already have it. Forgot to mention I knew her, lol. Not dating her, just buddies.

You think that's bad?

That's at my work carpark, and I only found out last week that it happened.

WOW!

Fair. Ok,
"If you win, we go get some lunch, and you're buying!"
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:27 |

Haha good call!

"If you win, you give me your car!"
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:33 |

Yes. It's about 9 hours, I'd have to leave the day before to make it there...Wait! You gave me a genius idea!
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:33 |
|
Well that's too far.
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:37 |

I havent either. And, at least if I get to miraculously coincide with the dates when I am in the States, I probably never going to go. Until I get enough money to go on my own, buy a cool used car, and bring it to Mexico passing through some Cars and Coffee.
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:39 |

Damn
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:40 |

X-D
That would be awesome. The E90 335i gets good gas mileage. Maybe even better than ze 997
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:43 |
|
Maybe.
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:46 |
|
My guess: the 335i gets better mileage when cruising but the 997.2 gets better mileage when driven hard.
Turbos get good mileage when you're not driving hard but the DFI Porsches are the king of getting good mileage while being driven hard!
![]() 07/06/2014 at 20:47 |
|
DFI FTW!!

Try living in Canada. We are very good at the Coffee but suck at the assembling of cars.

Me neither. Not a big deal.
